Building a smarter world

Building a smarter world
We’ve all heard and these words in the schools, televisions and magazines and many different advertising avenues, urging us to stay in school. These are some examples of these sorts of ads “don’t be fools stay in school’ this ad was to appeal to the young people’s ego, by letting them know without an education they would be fools. This country is governed by education, this is the only country in the world that has state of the art public schools, where not only the buildings are up to date, but the teachers are highly trained educators. I’m shocked at times when I read the statistics of how many students drop out of school, people are risking their lives, leaving everything they own and know to come to the United States to give their children a chance of a good education, these naturally born Americans ought to be ashamed of themselves not to take full advantage of these academic opportunities. In most countries only, there is no such thing as a free education, if you are unable to pay for your child’s education they would not be able to go to school therefore there are high illiterates and uneducated people, many of these countries’ economy are not as well developed as countries that emphasized education. The countries that referred to as “third world countries”, this is because these countries are not as advanced as the countries, this is because these countries are not part of the trading circle therefore they are not looked at as been important countries.

One thing that really turns my stomach about African Americans, is the fact that they don’t seem to take education too serious, not to say all of them the ones from the inner city are mostly interested in their child’s extracurricular activities, rather than their scholastics developments this lead the child to believe the only way they can make it to being a successful adult is through sports rather than academics. From doing my own research with kids from the some inner city youths I found out most males are aspired to pursue two avenues for success, first is sports and the second is entertainment, there are a few children that want to be doctors, lawyers, females are mostly aspire to becoming nurses or to be a beautician, all of these are mainly quick and does not require a college degree and they can go a job quickly. We need to start teaching our young black youths that they are worth it and are smart enough to achieve the highest level of education and are able to be anything they want to be as long as they are willing to put in the time and effort necessary to achieve their goals.
