Rites of passage are very detrimental to some societies in order to pass and tradition to new upcoming generation. There are several different types of rites of passage, due to the fact that there are many cultures that practice this form of education. The only groups that practices rites of passage are non-literate cultures. This is one way of ensuring the preservation of their culture for years to come.
